University of Waterloo Resources
The University of Waterloo's Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Office (SVPRO) supports all members of the University of Waterloo campus community who have experienced, or been impacted, by sexual violence. This includes all students, staff, faculty and visitors on the main campus, the satellite campuses, and at the affiliated and federated Waterloo Institutes and Colleges. SVPRO is guided by anti-oppressive, intersectional, trauma-informed, and collaborative approaches. With consent, they can provide a safe(r) space for people to disclose as they wish about their experience (s); discuss resources, for further support; discuss short term coping strategies; collaborate with departments and units on campus to facilitate requests for academic and workplace accommodations and safety planning; and review available complaints and reporting options via University policy and/or the police. |

The Sexual Assault Support Centre of Waterloo Region provides a free, confidential 24 Hour Support Line. The support line is staffed by volunteers who have completed a comprehensive training program.
