Are you seeking justice? We are here to help.

​Our Newcomer Gender-Based Violence Legal Advocate program supports survivors in understanding their legal options and taking steps in accessing justice.  

We can help you with:

• Understanding your legal options
• Exploring family, criminal, civil, immigration, and restorative justice options
• Arranging and attending your police report and interview
• ​Arranging for interpretation and assisting with legal documents
• Supporting you through the police investigation
• Accompanying you to court proceedings and appointments
• Debriefing and emotional support
• Facilitating referrals for civil, quasi-judicial, or restorative justice options

There is no statute of limitations or time limit to report sexual offences. We are here for you when you are ready. 

Independent Legal Advice
You can contact 1-855-226-3904 by phone or go on line at Ontario.ca/page/independent-legal-advice-sexual-assault-victims to access 4 free hours of independent legal advice. This legal advice can inform you of the different options such as reporting to police, suing in civil court or applying for compensation. It is available to anyone 16 years of age or older and, whether or not you have already reported to Police.
