Kitchener, September 12th, 2011 – The Sexual Assault Support Centre of Waterloo Region (SASC) is pleased to announce the opening a satellite office in Cambridge this fall. Due to a growing need for counselling services in Cambridge, SASC has secured an office in the newly built Langs facility on 1145 Concession Road. Services are scheduled to commence at this location the week of October 3, 2011.
For many years, SASC has relied on donated office space in Cambridge – most notably from the Family Counselling Centre of Cambridge and North Dumfries. SASC is sincerely grateful for the generosity of these organizations. Without this support, women would have faced barriers in accessing free individual and group counselling services.
“We believe this new office will increase visibility, referrals, and overall access to our services for Cambridge residents who have experienced sexual violence,” said Sara Casselman, SASC’s Public Relations & Operations Manager. “We’re looking forward to the partnership opportunities that accompany the opening of our satellite office at the new Langs.”
