December 6 2019: 30th Anniversary of the Montreal Massacre

Oct 29 2019

Please join us December 6th 2019 at 5:30PM at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Kitchener for the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.

Our community is marking the 30th Anniversary of the Montreal Massacre; fourteen young women were killed at l'Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal in 1989.

We're also remembering the 1000s of missing and murdered First Nations, Metis, and Inuit women, girls, and two-spirited people in Canada.

On December 6th, we honour all victims of gender-based violence in our community and across Canada.

Guest speakers:
Jean Becker, Senior Advisor, Indigenous Initiatives, Wilfrid Laurier University
Mino Ode Kwewak N'Gamowak, Good Hearted Women Singers
Sara Casselman, Executive Director, Sexual Assault Support Centre of Waterloo Region

Hosted by the Canadian Federation of University Women Kitchener-Waterloo.
