Open Closet 2012!
Each year in recognition of International Women’s Week, SASC hosts the Open Closet! The Open Closet invites all women in Waterloo Region to shop through our fabulous selection of gently-used, free clothing, and enjoy refreshments.
This year’s event takes place Friday, March 9th, 2012 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in two locations:
- In Kitchener at Trinity United Church (74 Frederick St.)
- In Cambridge at Langs (1145 Concession Rd)
SASC invites all women and their children to shop-for-free at the 6th annual Open Closet.
Community members interested donating gently-used women and children’s clothing are encouraged to begin sorting through their closets!
Clothing Drop-off Times: Thursday, March 8th, 2012 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in BOTH locations listed above!
* Clothing Donations in Cambridge are welcome at the Langs Resource

In 1977, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution calling on members to proclaim a day for women's human rights and international peace. Following their lead, Canada chose March 8th as International Women's Day (IWD). Since then, IWD has evolved into an opportunity to celebrate progress made thus far and assess what remains to be done to improve women's human rights.
