The core of our crisis support is our 24 Hour Crisis and Support Line available to anyone who has experienced sexual violence. Men may call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to access support, information and referrals.
individual counselling for men
In April 2011, the Ministry of the Attorney General announced funding for male survivors of sexual abuse. Our Centre, in partnership with Community Justice Initiatives, was successful in this funding application. In September 2011, we received the go-ahead to begin rolling out our individual counselling program for male survivors. Please call our office at 519.571.0121 and request to speak to Sara Jane at extension 26 if you would like to access our free, confidential individual counselling services for men.
Peer support groups for men
Peer Support Groups for men who have experienced sexual violence are offered through our partner agency Community Justice Initiatives. For more information, please contact Community Justice Initiatives at 519.744.6549.
supporters of survivors group
Supporters of Survivors (SOS) is a group for those who are supporting a loved one who has been impacted by sexual violence. This is an open group that meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.. For more information, please contact Joan at 519.571.0121 x32.
